This little corner of the internet houses updates on Marlena’s works-in-progress, a smattering of short stories, the occasional poem, and an assortment of odds and ends that she finds inspirational, fascinating, infuriating, or otherwise noteworthy.
Marlena is a neurotic collector of hobbies and interests. She has spent time studying psychology and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in English. She’s dabbled in Israeli Krav Maga, photography, rock climbing, existential dread, and yoga. She’s a science fiction nerd, a humanist, and an animal lover.
Think of this space a well-loved composition notebook. Half the pages are torn out and those that remain are an inky, tea-stained mess. Thumb through and you’ll find dystopian worlds in the not-too-distant future, a deep appreciation for nature and curse words, a healthy dose of social satire, and crippling imposter syndrome.
